Jerome Howell

Lead Pastor

Pastor Jerome grew up right here in Madison County and is a 1981 graduate of Madison County High School. Jerome accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during a children’s church service at Danielsville Evangelical Methodist Church where he attended with his family and even preached his first sermons there when he was a teenager. Jerome attended Emmanuel College’s School of Christian Ministries and graduated in 1989.

After enjoying a 32-year career with UPS and preaching from time to time, Jerome was called to be the pastor here at Ila in 2018.

Jerome is married to his wife, Julie, and has 2 children: Samuel & Lindsay.

Jerome and his family are glad to be back home and to be ministering at Ila together. They look forward to all God has for them and for Ila Baptist Church!
